Animal welfare: a key factor in sustainable agriculture
Wageningen University and Research (WUR) and the Dutch council for animal matters (RDA) call animal welfare a key factor in sustainable agriculture.
In August this year, the WUR published an online article on this topic, explaining why they feel that independent and transparent knowledge about animal welfare, based on needs of the animal itself, is essential for sustainable agriculture.
