Induction Heating System

Industrial Induction Heating Systems

DELMER industrial induction heating systems are engineered for controlled heating of electrically conductive workpieces in manufacturing, maintenance and OEM production equipment. Applications include induction brazing, hardening, annealing, tempering, forging preheating, shrink fitting, carbide tipping, bolt heating, wire and tube heating and other thermal processes.

System selection should start with the workpiece and process: material, dimensions, mass, target temperature, heating time, heating zone, production rate, required heating depth, electrical supply, coil geometry and automation requirements.

Industrial Applications

Heat Treatment

Hardening, tempering, annealing and stress-relieving applications where controlled heating is required.

Brazing and Joining

Localized heating for copper, brass, steel, carbide and other compatible conductive assemblies.

Forging and Preheating

Rapid heating of bars, billets and components before forming or forging.

Shrink Fitting

Controlled thermal expansion for bearings, gears, shafts, rings and interference-fit assemblies.

Wire and Tube Heating

Continuous or controlled heating for suitable wire, cable, tube and pipe production processes.

OEM Machine Integration

Induction power platforms for automated machines, production lines, PLC/HMI systems and robotic cells.

How to Specify the System

  1. Material and alloy
  2. Workpiece dimensions and mass
  3. Target temperature
  4. Heating time
  5. Heating zone or required heating depth
  6. Production rate and duty cycle
  7. Available electrical supply
  8. Automation and control requirements

Power, frequency, coil design and cooling should be selected from these process parameters. Application testing can be used where the operating window is critical.
