Kash Patel Appointed FBI Director, Embraces Tradition With Bhagavad Gita Oath

In a historic moment for the United States, Indian-American Kash Patel was sworn in as the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation(FBI)  on February 21, 2025. Speaking after the ceremony, Patel expressed gratitude for the journey that led him to this role,emphasizing that his appointment reflects the "American Dream"—where hard work and dedication can lead to remarkable achievements.

One of his first initiatives includes decentralizing the FBI's operations, with plans to move 1,500 employees out of Washington, D.C.—1,000 to field offices across the country and 500 to a new center in Huntsville, Alabama. This move aims to strengthen the FBI’s focus on crime prevention and national security.
