Herd management system
Today, every farmer's main goal is to have an economic management system that provides his calves to rise independently and to introduce semen into the genital tract of a female calf of his choice bulls.
Our concept apparently provides farmers with every solution regarding the management of cow-buffalo herds instead of others, providing management systems separately.
Our herd management system is not only providing highly accurate heat detection but also supports to achieve
Health and welfare tracking
Analysis of eating behavior to increase efficiency
Calving Alert
Advance repair equipment
HEAT DETECTING FOR DAIRY COWS
Unlike other heat detection systems that rely solely on simple operating deviations, resulting in high false alarm rates, HSM utilizes advanced, multi-parameter-based, real-time monitoring. much more. Our monitoring and analysis of the cow’s activity patterns allow for optimal precision in the detection of the time and duration of the heat.
As a result, the Herd Management System pinpoints the optimal time for insemination, significantly improving conception and pregnancy rates. A cow's ability to exhibit natural heat can be limited by many variables, such as cow health, production performance, and the environment. High productivity, limping, metabolic disorders and any other health problems, heat stress, social stress, overcrowding, and the type of barn are known to have a direct impact on the ability to exhibit typical hot behavior of cows. Our SYSTEM's advanced data analysis provides highly accurate temperature detection even below these limits.
Abortion Discovery
Abortion can create measurable financial losses, and early detection of abortions by HMS will minimize those losses. It is essential to continuously monitor the performance of the pregnant cow to ensure that the cow maintains the pregnancy. Detecting a miscarriage at any time during pregnancy helps to avoid significant financial loss. Research on this unique design has shown that investing resources in abortion detection is as cost-effective as investing in new pregnancies.
MONITORING FEMALE COWS
Detecting when to initiate cycling patterns and assessing their intensity, along with physical data such as size and height, can provide information about a calf's readiness for fertilization. This allows calves to enter the production cycle earlier and lowers the age at conception. Early insemination of calves and reduced age at conception reduces the time and investment costs until the animal is productive. This prevents heifers from becoming pregnant for the first time in an overweight and old age.
DETECTS FOLLICLE ACTIVITY
Herd management systems can detect cows with active cysts, which can be an important cause of infertility. This condition needs to be treated before cows can be effectively inseminated, and early detection will reduce the cow's opening days. One of the benefits of our continuous behavioral monitoring is the system's ability to identify cows with irregular oestrus cycles. These irregular periods may indicate cystic ovaries. This condition can be a major cause of infertility. Ovarian cysts must be treated before cows can be effectively inseminated. Early detection of this condition helps to reduce the number of days of calving, as well as the costs incurred due to ineffective insemination.
HEALTH AND WELLNESS TRACKING:
The health and welfare of the herd are a primary concern of dairy managers, as they directly affect farm performance. It is necessary to ensure that the cow does not have:
• Hungry and thirsty
• Uncomfortable
• Pain, injury, and illness
• Fear and suffering
• Any limitation to the expression of normal behavior
These questions are key to allowing the cow to reach its full productive potential.
By using this beautiful device, one can check all the below notifications by going anywhere anytime from his mobile device.

ANALYSE FEEDING BEHAVIOUR TO INCREASE EFFICIENCY
Feeding behavior is one of the most indicative, providing valuable information about the health and welfare of the cow, as well as its performance as a producer animal. Any event in the cow's life, from limping to metabolic disturbances to pneumonia, is reflected in its eating habits.
Tracking and analyzing cow times and feeder visits, taking into account lactation status as well as group and herd data, improves feeder management, resulting in calculated efficiency metrics. Monitoring cows during the transition period allows immediate detection of metabolic disturbances, created by the high maintenance and production needs due to the negative energy balance of the postnatal cow.
Food behavior monitoring systems enable real-time decision-making, problem-solving, and production loss prevention. Unlike ruminant monitoring-based systems, which use an indirect and delayed indicator, herd management systems are based on feed, a direct indicator, since cows eat before ruminating. The flow behavior monitoring system's unique approach provides early warning, saving valuable time.
Benefits
Monitor cows transitioning stage and detect metabolic disorders
Detect mastitis
Lameness detection
Early detection of BRD
Early detection of digestive disorders
Detecting social stress
Optimize feed management and forage quality assessment
Calving Alert
Herd Manager provides the world's first and most accurate spawning alerts. Alerts developed to shorten response times in supporting bulls in high-risk situations:
Dystocia, Gemini, cows with a history of difficult calving, as well as sick, old and fat cows.
Early warning has many advantages and allows the professional farm team to intervene in real time and immediately treat cows and calves that may be in distress. The warning also ensures enough time to prepare the farrowing barn and move the cows there before farrowing, helping to reduce mortality in cows and calves.
ADVANCED MILK METER
• Free Fluid Technology
Delmer's free-flowing technology captures personal data from each cow in the milking room, including milk flow, qty, temperature, and consumption. The data is transferred to the Herd Management System program, enrolling the farmers to make important decisions on the health and properties of the beef. Our free-flowing milk gauge provides complete control of the entire sanitation process at any milk point, allowing calibration, sanitation, and complete operation. Our innovative technology guarantees that milk flows free and alternatively, prevent the key cause of mastitis. Watch with no moving parts, and keep maintenance costs to a minimum.
Features:
• Free flow design for easy maintenance
• Reduces Risk of Milk Contamination and Mastitis Infections
• Milk time measurement
• Independent or combined with auto identification
• In-Post Id from any MPC (MILKING POINT CONTROL)
MILKING CONTROLS

Our annealing furnaces are constructed of panels with Louvres for air exchange and a tubular frame. General maintenance interventions are easier with a tubular system.
Heating muffles are made of resistance and unique, highly thermally efficient refractory insulating panels. Strong temperature changes can be resisted by special stainless steel heating chambers.
Protection gas enters the chamber through nozzles. The de-oxidation process is improved by a burner placed in front of the chamber to prevent oxygen entry. Inside is a shovel made of stainless steel.
When annealing metal, you simply push the pale to the bottom of the cooling chamber and drop it into the water tub for instant cooling (or leave it lying in the cooling chamber to cool, taking some time). The tub's treated material is removed either manually or (optionally) with a pneumatic piston.

Delmer Automatic Livestock Sorting Gate with 3 Photoelectric Sensors
The Delmer Automatic Sorting Gate is designed to direct identified animals into a selected pen or passage according to configured herd-management rules. It can be installed at a milking-parlour exit or in a suitable livestock handling race where animals pass through one at a time. The current listed configuration includes three photoelectric sensor cells and supports integration with DelFlow II herd-management workflows.
Important configuration note: Gate geometry, controller I/O, actuator type, electrical ratings, air requirements, communications protocol and species-specific dimensions must be confirmed for the supplied configuration and site layout before ordering. Values for competitor equipment are not Delmer specifications.
How the sorting system works
- Animal approaches: An upstream photoelectric sensor detects presence/entry and helps the controller establish that an animal is entering the sorting zone.
- Position tracking: The additional photoelectric cells provide passage and occupancy events. The controller can use the event sequence to determine whether the animal has reached or cleared the decision point, subject to the final sensor layout and commissioning.
- Animal identification and decision: A compatible identification source—such as an electronic identification (EID/RFID) reader, the configured cattle pedometer/ID system, or an external herd-management/scale controller—supplies the animal ID or sorting instruction. Photoelectric cells detect presence and position; they do not read an animal's identity.
- Gate actuation: The controller commands the configured electro-pneumatic or other supplied actuator to route the animal to the selected outlet. The number of destinations and actuator sequence depend on the installed gate arrangement.
- Exit confirmation and reset: Downstream sensor events can confirm that the passage has cleared before the controller returns to its ready state. The exact logic must be verified during installation.
Photoelectric sensor functions
Three photo cells can be arranged as entry, decision-zone/occupancy and exit-clear sensors, or another sequence suited to the mechanical layout. The final allocation is set at commissioning. Properly sequenced sensors help prevent a gate movement while an animal is in an unsafe position, reduce duplicate passage triggers, detect a blocked or occupied race, and provide a repeatable reset sequence.
- Entry detection: signals that an animal has entered the sorting zone.
- Position/occupancy detection: helps establish when the animal is aligned at the decision point and whether the gate path is occupied.
- Exit/clear detection: helps confirm that the animal has passed through and the zone is clear for the next cycle.
- Commissioning checks: sensor alignment, response to dust and water, cable protection, detection of animals with different body profiles, and correct operation under the site's lighting and cleaning conditions.
Sensor model, sensing mode (through-beam, retro-reflective or diffuse), range, supply voltage, output type, IP rating and response time must be confirmed from the actual sensor part number. Do not assume an industrial sensor's generic specifications apply to this supplied unit.
Controller and control logic
- Sequence control: coordinates photo-cell events, identity/sort decision, gate command, exit-clear confirmation and reset.
- Sorting rules: configurable to an agreed workflow, for example animal ID lists, treatment/veterinary checks, insemination, pregnancy checks, group allocation or external scale/management-system criteria when the compatible interface is provided.
- Manual operation: manual override and maintenance/jog controls should be specified for the ordered version and used only by trained operators from a safe position.
- Fault handling: the commissioning specification should define behaviour for a sensor fault, communication loss, air/power failure, gate obstruction or contradictory sensor sequence. The final design should not command a hazardous gate movement when the animal's position is uncertain.
- Integration: DelFlow II integration is listed for this product. Compatibility with a third-party RFID reader, weighing indicator or herd software depends on the reader/controller model and available interface/protocol; written confirmation is required before promising plug-and-play connectivity.
Typical sorting applications
- Separate animals on a pre-defined ID list for veterinary examination or treatment.
- Route animals for insemination, pregnancy checks, hoof care or other scheduled handling.
- Allocate animals to management groups, subject to available ID and software data.
- Support data-driven sorting using weight or other criteria when a compatible scale/management system supplies the decision.
- Reduce repetitive manual gate handling and improve consistency of routine livestock movement.
Species suitability and indicative race dimensions
These are preliminary layout reference ranges for the single-file approach/race, not confirmed dimensions of the Delmer gate itself. Final dimensions depend on breed, age, body size, horns, animal throughput, the gate mechanism and the destination lanes. Measure the largest animals and review the layout before fabrication or installation.
| Species | Indicative clear internal race width | Design considerations |
|---|---|---|
| Dairy/beef cattle | Approx. 680–760 mm for many adult cattle; larger-framed or horned animals may need more | Solid-sided approach, no sharp turns, adequate headroom and a gate opening matched to the largest animal. |
| Water buffalo | Approx. 760–800 mm is recommended in one government farm-handling guide for fully grown Riverine buffalo | Use a robust, appropriately sized structure, calm movement, good footing and an individually assessed layout. |
| Sheep | Approx. 400 mm is cited as a handling-race reference; adjust for breed, fleece and body size | Avoid an over-wide single-file race where animals can turn or become caught; group-flow areas may need to be wider. |
| Goats | About 400 mm may suit some adult animals, but must be adjusted to breed and horn configuration | Check horn clearance and prevent wedging or entrapment; validate geometry with the actual herd. |
| Pigs | Size to the shoulder width of the largest pig; one handling guide recommends a race only about 50 mm wider than that shoulder width | Use solid sides, non-slip flooring and species-specific gates. Pig-specific RFID sorting is a separate application, not automatically covered by a cattle gate. |
These reference dimensions describe the race/chute, not a guaranteed clear width, overall footprint or gate opening for the Delmer product. A cattle configuration should not be represented as suitable for sheep, goats or pigs without confirming the frame, opening, actuator force, sensor geometry and control sequence for that species. Separate species-specific versions or change parts may be required.

Installation and site planning
- Use a level, well-drained, non-slip approach and exit lane with no sharp edges or trapping points.
- Plan adequate single-file approach length so animals do not bunch up at the decision point; provide enough clear exit lane for the animal to move fully beyond the gate.
- Protect cables, sensors and pneumatic lines from impact, manure, washdown and moving parts. Install and test the sensor brackets so the beams remain aligned.
- Provide safe operator access and keep people clear of gate pivots, pinch points and the animal's path. Install suitable guarding and emergency isolation as required by the site risk assessment and applicable local rules.
- Commission with the intended species and range of animal sizes. Test normal passage, missing/invalid identification, consecutive animals, sensor blockage, manual override and loss of power/air before routine use.
What to confirm before ordering or integrating an external reader
Please provide the RFID/EID reader make and model, communication interface (for example serial, Ethernet or another documented connection), protocol/command documentation, herd-management software name/version, and the sorting output or API available from that system. Delmer can then confirm the integration approach and identify any interface hardware or software changes required.
Benefits for livestock operations
- More consistent routing for animals on pre-defined handling lists.
- Less repetitive manual gate operation for routine farm-management tasks.
- Sensor-assisted animal passage sequencing when correctly installed and commissioned.
- Potential integration with identification and herd-management data for traceable sorting workflows.
- Layout can be engineered around the milking parlour or livestock handling facility, subject to a site survey.
Custom configuration: Contact Delmer with the target species, breed/size range, required number of destinations, race dimensions, daily throughput, ID reader model and software details. A final technical drawing and integration confirmation should be approved before manufacture.
